New Year Event 'Spring Luck Daebiru'

In 2007, we held events such as the Ryukyu Karuta (Song) Event and the New Year Craft Experience in which visitors learned how to make a figure of a wild boar, the zodiac sign of the year. By doing so, we were able to provide a hands-on experience bringing Okinawa's culture and history to our visitors.

Ocean Expo Park National Trim Marathon

Held both around and within the park grounds, the marathon is also a wonderful opportunity to experience the beautiful ocean and mountain scenery. Anyone can participate in this run!

Okinawa International Orchid Expo

A selection of orchids, both indigenous and from overseas, are on display here. From color and aroma to shape, our exhibit captures all of the beautiful aspects of the orchid flower. We also offer a mini-Ikebana class and orchid cultivation advice corner (free)!

Children's Festival 'Marching Band Festival'

We judge the playing and marching abilities of each of the participating schools' band. Visitors will be able to witness some of the country's top level school marching bands from Okinawa.

Ocean Expo Park Summer Festival

Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Ocean Expo Park and the National Park System, visitors can watch as a record number of 10,000 fireworks are set off in the sky (canceled due to typhoon in 2007).
