The Ocean Expo Park (including the aquarium) is closed on the first Wednesday and Thursday of December every year for maintenance work.

The Oceanic Culture Museum brochure is available in five different languages. You can find it at Haisai Plaza and at the entrance of the museum.

The PDA Audio Guide provides commentary on the main exhibits throughout the museum. The Audio Guide is available, free of charge, in Japanese, English, Korean, Mandarin and Taiwanese. Visit the reception desk to apply.

Some exhibits are equipped with an automated narrative booth, or a monitor to provide visual images.

At the Oceanic Culture Museum, a guided tour by an experienced guide is available to make your visit much more worthwhile. The tour focuses on the most important exhibits.

Obtain a form for the Quiz Rally from the entrance, and answer each question to complete a key word. The correct answer will earn you a museum sticker.

• Fires are strictly prohibited.
• Drinking, eating and smoking are prohibited on the premises.
• Cell phone use, drinking and eating, smoking, talking, and flash photography are prohibited in the theater.
• No pets are allowed on the premises (except for guide dogs or service dogs).
