Those who possess a physical disability certificate, certification of the psychiatric disorder, or rehabilitation certificate

Please show your certificate at the ticket counter in order to be exempt from admission fee for Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, Oceanic Culture Museum and Tropical Dream Center. Also, one person who is accompanying the person possessing the above certificate will also be exempt from admission fee. (Disability grade of certificate does not matter)

Braille guide of Ocean Expo Park

A “Braille guide” is available for the facility information of Ocean Expo Park. It introduces an entire map of the park as well as a location map of information desks, restrooms, souvenir shops and restaurants, and general information of park facilities. For usage, please contact an information desk.

  • Rental is free of charge.
  • We do not take advance reservations, so it is on a first come first serve basis. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Please show identification and fill out the application form.
  • Please return no later than 30 minutes before the park closes.
  • For Tropical Dream Center and Oceanic Culture Museum, please return before the facility closes.

Accessible restrooms and restrooms with cribs are located in various locations of the park and in each facility.
Restrooms for ostomates are in the following 11 locations.

Transportation inside the park

Guests who are handicapped or have difficulty walking may drive in by vehicle (special exception) and use the pickup and drop off service patrol car as per the chart below.

Visitors in groups and / or using handicap facilities may drive in on vehicle from the control gate of the aquarium to the aquarium entrance. (However, vehicle must be parked in the parking lot during times other than drop off and pick up.)

*Advance application is required 1 week prior to visit.

Within the park

We strive to put slopes in places within the park in order for elderly and handicapped visitors to be able to move easily.

Trolley By showing a physical disability certificate, certification of the psychiatric disorder or rehabilitation certificate, the trolley can be used free of charge. One accompanying visitor is also free of charge. Drop off and pick up is done by steps.
Drop off and pick up by patrol car Visitors using wheelchairs or who have difficulty walking may use the park patrol car as transportation to each facility within the park.
*Only for individual visitors (up to 3 people).
*Please either contact the Ocean Expo Park Management Center in advance or on the day of visit, or contact one of the guards, information desks, or trolley staff members at the park on the day of visit.
*Since there is only one park patrol car, it may take time to come for pick up.

Inside the facility

Each facility is equipped with an elevator to ease transportation for wheelchairs and strollers.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium An elevator is available for transportation from the 1st floor to the 3rd and 4th floor.
Almost all the major flow lines within the facility are wheelchair user friendly (partial use of elevator).
The tables at the restaurant “Inoh” are modified. It can accommodate almost all types of wheelchairs.
Tropical Dream Center Almost all the major flow lines within the facility are wheelchair user friendly (partial use of elevator).
Oceanic Culture Museum Almost all the major flow lines within the facility are wheelchair user friendly.
*For Community Hall on the 2nd floor, please use the elevator.
