Life and Climate of Okinawa

The climate of Okinawa is characterized as subtropical marine, with a southeastern wind in summer and a stormy northeastern wind in winter.
Due to the Kuroshio Current, Okinawa normally enjoys mild temperatures in winter, barely falling below 10 degrees. The summer months, however, bring severe typhoons.
