Shuri-ori was created and thrived in Shuri, the home of the Ryukyu kings. We present Shuri artworks that went through the hard times of modern Okinawa and the ground battles that took place here. The artworks include the items related to the Ryukyu Kingdom and replicas of overseas Shuri hanakura-ori and hana-ori that were completed by Hatsuko Miyahira, a living national treasure.
