メディニラ・火の鳥

メディニラ属は、東南アジアやアフリカ、太平洋諸島に分布し、特にフィリピンに多く見られる常緑の低木やつる性植物です。本種は、Medinilla magnifica と Medinilla miniata を交配して日本で作出された園芸品種です。濃いピンク色の花が房状に下垂して咲く。
