メディニラ・火の鳥

メディニラ属は、東南アジアやアフリカ、太平洋諸島に分布し、特にフィリピンに多く見られる常緑の低木やつる性植物である。本種は、Medinilla magnifica と Medinilla miniata を交配して日本で作出された園芸品種。濃いピンク色の花が房状に下垂して咲く。

Medinilla is a genus of evergreen shrubs and climbers found in Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Pacific islands, especially in the Philippines. This plant is a garden cultivar developed in Japan, bearing clusters of deep pink flowers that hang down gracefully.
