カクチョウラン

山地の草地や自然林の明るい林床に生育する 地生ランで、１mにもおよぶ長い花茎を伸ばし、花をつけます。かつては普通に見られる種でしたが、近年は乱獲により激減しており、残された個体数はごく少なくなっています。

This terrestrial orchid grows in montane grasslands and in the bright understory of natural forests. It produces flowers on long inflorescences that can reach up to 1 meter in length.
Although it was once a commonly observed species, its population has declined sharply in recent years due to overcollection, and only a very small number of individuals remain.
