琉球各地で海岸から山の中まで普通にみられるつるで、気根を出して木や岩を這い登ります。その名の通り白玉のような実をつけますが、食べられません。
It is a vine commonly found throughout the Ryukyu Islands, from coastal areas to mountain forests. It produces aerial roots and climbs over trees and rocks. As its name suggests, it bears white, bead-like fruits; however, they are not edible.
