ホウサイラン

県内では石垣島と西表島に分布し、自然林の林床に生育するランです。かつては石垣島と西表島のそれぞれ１カ所で自生が確認されていましたが、いずれも現在は自生が見られなくなってしまいました。

This orchid is distributed in Okinawa Prefecture on Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island, where it grows on the forest floor of natural forests. In the past, wild populations were confirmed at one location on each island; however, the species is no longer found in the wild at either site.
