Enjoy the New Year at Shurijo Castle Park, which will brighten up the start of the new year.
We would like to introduce a part of the New Year's ceremony "Asahai Gokishiki" that was held during the Ryukyu Kingdom era.

In commemoration of the Chinese zodiac Year of the Dragon in 2024, we would like to introduce "dragons" that can be seen in Shuri Castle and in arts and crafts from the Ryukyu Kingdom era.
