For all of our visitors to enjoy their time at the Park, we prohibit the following activities.

  1. Do not break or damage anything in the Park facilities.
  2. Do not collect/take plants, flowers, fruit, or seeds.
  3. Do not collect or deposit rocks, trees and vegetation.
  4. Do not capture, wound, or kill animals.
  5. Do not enter areas in the Park which are prohibited to enter.
  6. Do not drive vehicles in the Park other than the parking lot and their entry/exit ways.
  7. Do not place flyers or any other advertising displays in the Park grounds.
  8. Do not start bonfires, or use portable gas or oil stoves, or any other flammables.
  9. Do not make noise or emit noise that will be a nuisance for other visitors.
  10. Do not smoke or discard trash in places other than the designated locations.
  11. Photography and/or filming are not permitted at the Nanden and Bandokoro.
  12. Do not engage in activities that will obstruct the safety of other Park visitors, or pose a problem to the regular use of the Park facilities.

The following are not permitted to be used or brought in to the Park:

  1. Firearms, knives and/or swords (including model guns, air guns, wooden/bamboo/imitation/practice swords).
  2. Fireworks, gunpowder, large amounts of gas, oils, and/or fuels.
  3. Bicycles and/or others with wheels (including unicycles, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, kickboards, roller shoes, etc.)
  4. Boomerangs, bow and arrows, pachinko balls, radio-operated airplanes, etc.
  5. Metal/Wooden bats and baseballs.
  6. Golf clubs, etc.
  7. Other objects deemed by Park staff to pose a problem in the safe and comfortable use of the Park and/or threat to damage or defile Park facilities.

Advanced permits from the Park Management are required for the following activities.

Please note that activities irrelevant to public nature and/or the Park will not be permitted.

  1. Sales or distribution of goods.
  2. Exclusive use of the Park in whole or part for competitions, assemblies, exhibits, etc.
  3. To conduct collections of donations, signatures for petitions, questionnaires, and/or surveys/studies for plants, animals, etc.
  4. Photography sessions and/or location filming with intentions to profit, or by collecting membership and/or other fees.
  5. Holding events or any other gatherings by inviting the public through advanced notice of dates and times.
  6. Placing or displaying signs and/or banners within the Park.

Prohibition on Drones

It is prohibited for drones to be brought in and/or flown within the park. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation to ensure all visitors can safely enjoy our park.

For Visitors with Pets

*This notice does not include service dogs.

Pets/Animals permitted within the park grounds are limited to small dogs and cats. They must be on a leash or in carriers to enter the park. Animals are not permitted in the buildings (including the Una court within the paid area).

Note

  • Please be sure to clean up after your pets.
  • Visitors with pets are responsible to resolve any problems that may arise with other park users and we are not liable for any disputes.
  • When visiting the park, please follow the directions given by park staff.

At Shurijo Castle Park, we are promoting the use of designated smoking areas, and smoking is not permitted within the castle walls.

There is a smoking area by the grass square within the Shurijo Castle Prefectural Park.
