Kinju-Tsumesho

Kinju-Tsumesho

Kinju-Tsumesho was where approximately 20 officials were posted, and these positions included Kinju-Gashira, Kinju-Yaku, Hissho, and other aides to the king. These officials attended the king on his miscellaneous tasks in the mornings and evenings, and when going to and from the living quarters in Ouchibara.

The building is adjacent to the Nanden on the east side, and the second floor was connected to the Nanden and Kugani-Udun. Inside Kinju-Tsumesho was a small tatami room called the Suzuhiki, and another room called the Ocha-Nitsume. The year of the building’s construction is unknown.
